We are living in very stressful times! Use this new method to identify your brain state throughout the day on a scale of 1 to 5, from well-being to being stressed out. Then use the skill that mirrors natural brain processing for that state to switch your brain from stress toward joy and experience immediate relief. Use it over time to rewire your brain from stress – overeating, depression, anxiety, overspending, overworking and more – to well-being. Enjoy this lively and fun introduction to The Solution Method, named “One of the 10 Top Medical Advances of the Year” by Health magazine.
Laurel Mellin, MA, RD is Associate Clinical Professor of Family and Community Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco. At the university over the last 28 years, she developed a method based on developmental skills training (DST) that is applied as The Solution Method for adults and the SHAPEDOWN Program for children and teens. The method rewires the limbic brain for resilience and a new happiness set point. With the “medicine” of more joy in life, the brain’s drives and cravings for common excesses fades. New brief programs for weight, mood, stress, relationships and addictions have recently been launched. Mellin is The New York Times bestselling author of The Pathway, a researcher and has been featured repeatedly in the media, including as a guest on Oprah three times.
Books will be available for sale at the program.
